Brick returns in style

September 29, 2016

Kilmoyley's Shane Brick admits it is an unbelievable feeling to win his seventh county SHC title.

Last weekend, Kilmoyley defeated Ballyduff in the final replay and Brick gave a man of the match display.

The experienced forward only returned to his native club in recent weeks having played his club hurling in Cork for the past few years where he works as a teacher.

Speaking to the Kerryman, Brick admitted that winning his seventh county title was just as good as winning his first.

"Unbelievable, I suppose the last day was a fierce battle, just delighted to come out the right side of it," said the former Kerry hurler.

"A lot of respect there for Ballyduff, they really put it up to us over the two games, as we knew they would.

"There's a great rivalry there but a great respect as well and, look, we are just delighted we are champions."
