Kerryman Tadhg Flahive proudly reflects on a truly amazing event where a record-breaking 85 teams played at the superb Zayed Sports City, though the Na Fianna Chairperson remembers the early days when GAA was new to the desert.
"We were kicking around in a sand pit with six or seven players and an O'Neills ball in a public park. Just to see now the numbers here, it's phenomenal, it's gratifying, it's satisfying," he said.
Donegal All Ireland winners Paul Durcan and Ryan Bradley lined out for Qatar, but the top honours went to Abu Dhabi Na Fianna and Dubai Celts.
