Moran to carry on legacy

February 27, 2015

Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne manager Kieran Moran is hoping to carry on where Eamonn Fitzmaurice left off.

On Saturday afternoon at Lewis Road, Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne take on St Francis College Rochestown in the Corn Ui Mhuiri final.

The Kerry school had an amazing year last year and Moran told the Kerryman that there is a great tradition of schools football even before the school was formed in 2007.

"Dingle CBS won the All-Ireland B title in 2001 and played at A level after that making the play-offs in Munster every year since 2003," said Moran.

"There was a tradition handed down from Liam Higgins' time when Pobalscoil came into being. Tomas Begley and Tommy Griffin were involved in last year's side while myself and Johnny Flannery have joined them working with the new players who are in the panel this year."
