Mayo vice-captain Lee Keegan has been James Horan's go-to-man for man-marking jobs so far this year - but he doesn't expect to be asked to shadow Kerry ace James O'Donoghue in Sunday's semi-final.

Manager Horan will have to come up with a plan to curb the free-scoring O'Donoghue's influence but Keegan - who marked Galway's Shane Walsh in the Connacht final and Cork's Paul Kerrigan in the All-Ireland SFC quarter-final - doesn't think he will be first in line for that job.

"I don't think I'd be the first one," he said to the Irish Independent.

"If you look back last year I had more of a free-flowing role. It's just how he (Horan) sees it and he'll probably decide it as the game goes on and see how Kerry set up.

"He looks at how the team sets up and then he picks a player. That was my job the last day and something that I don't mind doing.

"I enjoy it and you get great satisfaction when you do stop him. I wouldn't like to be on the receiving end of it."
