Eamonn Fitzmaurice expects Kerry's rookies to revel in the Munster final atmosphere.

With the likes of Tomas O Se, Paul Galvin and Eoin Brosnan retired and Colm Cooper ruled out through injury, there are a number of unfamiliar faces in the Kingdom line-up for today's provincial decider against Cork, and Fitzmaurice has no worries about them not being up to the task.

"I think they will love it," the Kerry manager is quoted in the Southern Star.

"That's what being a Kerry footballer is all about. That's what being a football full-stop is about.

"It's not about running around in the muck in January or February or playing in venues maybe where there's only a thousand or a couple of thousand people, it's about the big days. That's why the lads make all the sacrifices.

"Pairc Ui Chaoimh for a Munster final is a big day and I wouldn't be one bit afraid of the young lads to be honest."
