Dowling, Pat

This side of the parish was saddened at the news of the death of Pat Dowling of Lislaughtin who passed on to his eternal reward at Cork University Hospital on last Thursday. A member of a very well known and highly respected local family Pat had along association with sport especially Gaelic Football and served in many capacities with the Ballylongford GAA Club. He had a great passion for the game and he played a pivotal role in promoting the game in the parish.

This side of the parish was well represented at the removal of his remains from Lyon's Funeral Home Derry, Listowel to St Michael's Church Ballylongford and again at the Requiem Mass and internment which took place to Lislaughtin Cemetery.
His colleagues from the local GAA club were on duty to form a guard of honour in recognition of the great service he gave to the club. Deepest sympathy is extended to his wife Mai, sons Stephen, Pat and Colm, daughter Rose Marie brother Steve and all other family members and relatives.
