Kerry manager Fintan O'Connor has announced that he would like to remain on in the role.

Speaking after their final game in the Joe McDonagh Cup which saw the Kingdom defeat Antrim to claim third spot in the second tier championship.

The Kingdom had mixed results throughout the campaign, but they can be happy enough with their finish to the campaign.

"I'll sit down with the county board in the next couple of weeks and months and we'll go from there," O'Connor told the Kerryman.

"In fairness the championship (Kerry SHC) starts next weekend and I'll want to be going down looking to see what we can find. I was happy with some of the players that came into the panel that we probably weren't aware of before that, that we saw through the club championships, so we'll be trying to do that again this year. We'll see what happens and it probably that we will go again."

Meanwhile, long serving Kerry hurler Tom Murnane has decided to call time on his inter-county career.
