Limerick under-21 manager Pat Donnelly admits that they would be foolish to underestimate Galway in Saturday's All-Ireland semi-final.

The Shannonsiders were very impressive on their way to clinching the Munster title this year and are strong favourites to see off the challenge of the Tribesmen this weekend.

However, Donnelly is not paying too much remarks to the odds as he pointed to the fact that many of this Galway side were All-Ireland winners at minor level just two years ago.

"They were All-Ireland minor hurling champions two years ago," Donnelly told the Limerick Leader. "They have good players and if they click and get a run on us they will cause problems. But it's the same for us, we have good players and will look to get a run on them."

Backboned by senior hurlers Conor Whelan, Thomas Monaghan, Sean Loftus and Jack Grealish, the Connacht side will be quietly confident of causing an upset.

"We have to focus on ourselves - we don't know what they will bring. They have the advantage in that they got to look at us three times. They played Dublin and Kilkenny in challenge games and we have looked to gather some information on them."
