Man of the match Brian Molloy was keeping his feet firmly on the ground after Galway needed extra-time to get the better of Dublin in this evening'sAll-Ireland U21HC semi-final.

Tony Ward's charges prevailed by 0-21 to 0-19 after a titanic battle to set up a final showdown with a star-studded Waterford side at Semple Stadium on September 10. The final will provide the Tribesmen with an opportunity to avenge their defeat to the Deise in the All-Ireland minor final three years ago.

"We came in with one goal - Galway haven't got to an U21 final since 2011 - that was our aim, to get to the final," the senior star told TG4.

"It was a good performance, we worked hard. Our hurling needs to come up a bit, especially as Waterford are a very strong team. We have won nothing yet.

"Waterford are a big ask with the seniors they've had, but sure we'll give it a go."

The 10-point hero acknowledged that Dublin had pushed Galway to the pin of their collar.

"Credit to Dublin. They came out of a tough Leinster championship. They're a very strong team," Molloy added.
