Galway's John Hanbury and Joe Bergin of Offaly

Galway full back John Hanbury insists nothing untoward took place during the Tribe's Leinster SHC semi-final victory over Offaly.

Referee Colm Lyons sent off Faithfuls captain Colin Egan and Galway corner forward Conor Cooney as well as flashing seven yellow cards, but Hanbury felt that it was a hard but fair game:

"It wasn't a bad or dirty game at all, it was a good hard game. It was tough and that's the way you want to havve hurling," he comments in The Irish Daily Star.

"I don't think there was any bad-minded stuff. It was just a late tackle or two and that can happen in hurling.

"Offaly are a hard-working side. They put us under a lot of pressure in each half so it was a good win for us. They're a good team. I'd say they'll go well in the Qualifiers."
