Anthony Cunningham expects to run in to Brian Cody again on Sunday, September 6th.

The Galway boss was proud of his players' efforts in today's Leinster SHC final but they were left to rue a lack of killer instinct up front as the Cats collected title number 70.

"There was very little in it, it was some battle and we missed one or two scores," he told RTE's The Sunday Game Live.

"We had a great chance with Davy Burke there halfway through the second-half which just flashed wide. Playing Kilkenny you've got to take your chances and, through no fault of anybody's really, I think Joe Canning probably had another one or two.

"So, up front we had chances and margins are very slim. We needed those just to make it. Fair play to Kilkenny, congrats to Kilkenny, they were slightly better than us today but there not a lot in it.

Cunningham ended on a defiant note: "We will still be a huge threat, I said to Brian Cody there afterwards we'll see them in the All-Ireland final."
