Na Piarsaigh - the club of former Cork stars Sean Og O hAilpin and John Gardiner - are in danger of relinquishing their senior status after they suffered a surprise 1-15 to 2-14 defeat to new boys Youghal on Saturday night.

Managed by former GAA president Christy Cooney and inspired by rising county star Bill Cooper and Brendan Ring who fired 1-8, last year's 'premier' intermediate champions secured their first SHC win in three decades to set up a fourth round meeting with Carrigtwohill.

Na Piarsaigh need to beat Killeagh next Sunday in order to avoid the relegation final.

In the weekend's other big SHC game, Bishopstown defeated Courcey Rovers by 2-12 to 0-11. The winners of the Na Piarsaigh v Killeagh clash will meet the winners of the Courcey Rovers v Bride Rovers tie in round four, the draw for which was made on Saturday night.

The Cork SHC round four draw is: Na Piarsaigh/Killeagh v Courcey Rovers/Bride Rovers; Newtownshandrum v UCC; Sarsfields v Carrigdhoun; Erin's Own v St Finbarr's; Ballymartle v Blackrock; Bishopstown v Glen Rovers; Midleton v Douglas; Youghal v Carrigtwohill.
