DJ's story to hit the shelves
May 15, 2013

Kilkenny legend DJ Carey
DJ Carey's autobiography is due to hit the book shelves later in the year.
The Kilkenny legend won five All-Ireland SHC, 10 Leinster SHC and three NHL medals during a glittering career with the Cats.
He also won nine All Star awards and was 'Hurler of the Year' in 1993 and 2000.
"I was lucky enough to enjoy a very successful career with club and county over three decades, during which I had many great times and experiences," Carey said to the Irish Independent.
"I had disappointing times too, but then that's part of every sporting story. I played with and against many wonderful players.
"What I'm trying to do in the book is show how things looked from my side as opposed to how others might have seen them. What people think happened and what really happened can often be very different."
Carey's autobiography is being written in collaboration with the Irish Independent's Martin Breheny and will be published by Blackwater Press.
