Ryan urges new players to keep working

Tipperary manager Declan Ryan has told the new players that they must continue their current work rate.

Ryan had just five of the team that lost to Kilkenny in the All-Ireland final playing against Limerick I.T last weekend, meaning that ten players got the chance to impress from the start.

The Tipp manager was 'happy enough' with the run out against the students, but stressed that there is still plenty of work to be done before the summer.

"We had a few new lads alright. As long as they keep showing up well in training we'll continue having a look at them," Ryan revealed to the Tipperary Star.

"I suppose we'll have UL next - they have a decent team, so that will be another good match for us the next day. In January you don't get summer hurling, but I think we can be happy enough with the application for a lot of the game."
