Wexford manager Colm Bonnar has slammed the GAA's decision to proceed with next weekend's All-Ireland SHC relegation playoffs.
The Model County will face Clare, with the losers of that tie to meet Offaly or Antrim in a game that will determine which teams makes the drop to the Christy Ring Cup.
Bonnar, whose side are facing another year in Division 2 of the NHL, said: "I can't understand why they're trying to relegate one of the teams.
"Going down to the Christy Ring Cup could set hurling in this county back years. It's a joke."
