Galway manager Kevin Walsh is looking forward to Sunday's FBD Connacht League final against Roscommon.

While most managers are satisfied to be out the early season competitions, Walsh is delighted to get another competitive game just a week before their clash against Meath in the NFL Division Two.

"From our point of view of our first league match against Meath on Sunday week, it is a real plus to get this extra match, and it goes without saying against Roscommon, that will be extra competitive," Walsh told the Connacht Tribune.

The former Sligo manager will be short a number of players for Sunday's game as the Corofin contingent continue their preparations for the All-Ireland club SFC semi-final, while Finian Hanley is on honeymoon.
