Corofin manager Stephen Rochford admits that his side need a break from the game.

The Galway and Connacht champions booked their place in the All-Ireland club SFC semi-final following last weekend's win over Tir Chonaill Gaels.

However, their year is not yet at an end as they have the league final to play this weekend, but Rochford stressed to the Connacht Tribune that the break can't come soon enough.

"It's been a long year and we have a league final coming up on Sunday, but after that, the lads do need a break," said Rochford.

"They have given it everything all year and we'll all be taking a few days of so off over the Christmas."
