All-Ireland Club JFC quarter-final: Mitchels advance to last four

November 29, 2014

John Mitchels 1-14
Aran Islands 1-9

The Aran Islands adventure came to an end today when they were knocked out of the All-Ireland Club JFC at the quarter-final stage by John Mitchels of Liverpool at Pairc Na hEireann.

The Galway champions played second fiddle throughout and went in at the break trailing by 0-6 to 1-10.

Things improved for the visitors after the break but they had left themselves with too big a mountain to climb.

John Mitchels' reward is a semi-final clash against the winners of the Leinster final between Moate All Whites (Westmeath) and Straffan (Kildare).
