St. Michael's are through to their first ever Galway SFC final after defeating Barna 0-9 to 0-7 in yesterday's semi-final replay in Moycullen.

Eddie Hoare was once again the star turn for Michael's who will now face holders and raging hot favourites Corofin in next Sunday's Frank Fox Cup decider at Tuam Stadium. Three first half points from the county star and antoher from Greg Rogan gave the winners a slender 0-4 to 0-3 half-time lead.

Further points on the resumption from Eamonn O'Donnell and Hoare extended Michael's lead to 0-9 to 0-4, but they were made sweat it out as the men from the Gaeltacht - who were also seeking to reach their first final - staged a late comeback.
