There were three games down for decision this afternoon as the All-Ireland JFC final preceded the penultimate stages of the All-Ireland under-21 hurling campaign.

The junior footballers of Kerry and Cavan went head to head at O'Moore Park, Portlaoise at 3pm in what was an intriguing affair.

Then we turned our attention to an attractive double header at Semple Stadium as Antrim and Clare met at 4pm and this was followed at 6pm by the meeting of Wexford and Galway.

The hurling semi-finals were interesting, especially the second match, which was a very tough one to call indeed.
