Athenry teenager Cian Burke has been the talk of Galway hurling all week following his scoring heroics in the county SHC last weekend.

Burke scored a whopping 5-2 from play as Athenry doled out a 9-16 to 1-11 beating to a hapless Carnmore in their home patch of Kenny Park last Sunday afternoon. The gifted youngster now has his sights set on Antrim, who Galway face in this afternoon's All-Ireland MHC quarter-final at Kingspan Breffni Park.

According to Galway's long-serving minor manager Mattie Murphy, this is the most talented team he has had at his disposal for quite some time. There are a host of survivors from last year's team that lost the All-Ireland final to Waterford, while Burke is sure to get plenty of support in attack from Jack Grealish, who hit 2-1 for Gort in a recent SHC game against Clarinbridge.
