Cunningham: we're going to win

Galway manager Anthony Cunningham has sounded a rallying call to his players ahead of Sunday's NHL Division 1 semi-final against Kilkenny.

The Tribesmen head into the match minus the services of Fergal Moore, while Iarla Tannion and Niall Healy are rated extremely doubtful through injury.

However, Cunningham stressed to the Connacht Tribune that they want to reach the final and produce a good display against their rivals at the Gaelic Grounds.

"It depends on results on the day and there was nothing in it when we went down to Nowlan Park," Cunningham said of the previous meeting between the sides this year.

"We are going to Limerick to win the match. We don't fear them but we will respect them like any team we are playing. It's all about getting your own game right and to beat Kilkenny or anybody in the semi final, you have to be playing at the top of your game. We need to kick on and improve from the last day against Limerick."
