Just two short weeks after suffering the heartache of an All-Ireland SHC final loss, Galway players return to club action this weekend.

Following a long hiatus during the summer for club players, the SHC resumes quickly for those involved with the county squad.

There are a number of stand out fixtures as Joe Canning's Portumna takes on Johnny Coen's Loughrea with the Galway midfielder set to pick up the county's star forward.

A Sarsfields side that includes Joseph Cooney will be hoping to maintain their 100% record in the campaign so far when they take on Gort. 

Defending champions Liam Mellows and Tommy Larkins meet in Group 1 and the city side will be eager to make it three wins from three.
