I would imagine none due to the club finals.

There are plenty I'd say. There are u21 champ matches in Limerick on Friday and Clare always start their 21s champ on paddy's day.

In fairness the Westmeath Co. Board would fix a game for Christmas morning. They have no respect towards the players.

How early on Christmas morning? As long as the players get finished in time for mass, then it's ok.

fixing games for st patricks day is taking the proverbial piss and shows total disregard or respect for players and their families especially as most counties will still be playing in the slush and shyt in nov and dec. Time players started taking more interest in what their clubs are doing and if possible start getting a player rep to be the club rep on county boards. Most of the time you will see the same faces from the same clubs on the county committee for decades and are only there for the gossip and a guaranteed ticket later in the year. players need to start taking a bit more responsibility for the decisions being made for them which most of the time is not going to be made to suit players but the county committees who only have the goal of getting fixtures played or not and nearly always at the behest of county managers.

Playing on Paddy's day is not as bad as playing the day after on the Saturday or on the Sunday like a lot of counties have fixed club league games for. At least if u play on Paddy's day u have a weekend to urself. If u playing Saturday/Sunday it means no weekend at all for club players.

Is it really that bad? Why does Paddys Day have to be so important?

I would imagine none due to the club finals.

What relevance would the club finals have?

why is playing on paddys day taking the piss or showing a disregard for players?
Why is Paddys Day so special? Surely playing early that day then allows people do as they like. people stay on committees not for tickets but for power and influence. Not for tickets.
I played my one and only Munster rugby final on a Paddys Day. It was a great day for a game. bank holiday. Game was played early, Think it was a 11.30am/midday kick off. We were finished by half 1. 2 players had to go to hospital and while waiting for them to be released we went to offie and bought cans for bus back to tipp. it was great.
though players and coaches do need to take more responsibility and look for more respect in getting regular fixtures.
