New managers in Laois and Offaly

(Oldest Posts First)

What do people think of the appointments? Eamon Kelly in Laois and Kevin Ryan in Offaly.
Seems like a managerial merry go round in the second tier counties. Kelly previously with Kerry and Offaly. Ryan with Carlow and Antrim.
As a Laois man I'm a bit underwhelmed. I'm sure he's a safe pair of hands but nobody will be too getting excited about huge progress forward.
At least with Cheddar there was pure passion for Laois Hurling and an ambition to compete with the big boys.

Why would Eamon Kelly leave Offaly after just one year & hook up with Laois instead? He did good work with Kerry & made some strides with Offaly too. Kevin Ryan also did well with Carlow but the Antrim job was a poisoned chalice, to be fair to him. He seems like an honourable man, though.
