Gary Brennan

Super performance by Gary Brennan today! Everything he did today oozed class particularly in the 1st half. Would be great to see him rewarded with an all-star later in the year. Fantastic acheivement by Clare reaching the Q-final, nice to see new teams (particularly a hurling county) making huge progress! Shocking couple of weeeks for Roscommon! Looked like a poor division 3 team the last few games. Stuck to the ground! The only reason they got near the last 12 was due to the soft draw they got. McStay and Fergal O Donnell have made no progress with them at all!

Brennan akin to Jack O'Shea in his prime imo. Majestic fielder and super strength when carrying the ball. Has a burst of acceleration that leaves most defenders for dead and is very accurate when attempting scores, Also reads the game expertly and lays off beautiful balls. Deserves an All Star for his season to date alone.

Second dat his a class act and has been for years.
Carried that Clare team in the doldrum days and it's nice to see him being recognized.
With midfield players mostly pushing back into defensive style play Brennan is an old style midfielder and can show up just about anywhere.
Hard to see any other midfield player standing out this year bar Tyrone and Galway.

He's a class act and every time I've seen him he's been outstanding.

I;d argue he the best midfielder in the game at the moment and I hope he puts in a big performance in Croke Park and picks up an all star.He would thoroughly deserve one just like John Galvin should have own at least one all star but was continually overlooked because he played for an unsuccessful county.

He was phenomenal and has been for a long time. As has been his midfield partner Cathal O'Connor who was the best midfielder on pitch when we played them in Killarney.

I hope sporting justice is carried out and his suspension is revoked for the game next Sunday
