Both Clare and Tipp have done better than any team the Dubs have played so far this year.

With the Munster championship being so strong is it time the winner was given automatic passage to the All-Ireland semi:)

In fairness you can't blame Kerry but it is funny that even with the qualifiers that Kerry could be in an all-Ireland semi final by beating just tipp and clare, just shows Munster football is alot stronger than all the other provinces going by results this year

How many All Ireland Quarter Finalists have Dublin played so far?

Dublin play in the weakest provincial championship so they can time their run to August and September nicely.

Thanks for giving Clare the respect they deserve for a great season so far.

I'm not having a go at Kerry Clare or Tipp I'm laughing at how ridiculous the system is.

Why don't you set up a thread for the unfair system then instead of using this thread about a major breakthrough for Clare and Tipp football who have both have to deal with hurling focused county boards.

It's really rich coming for a Dublin poster when you consider the resources and sponsorship that Dublin get and you get to play also every championship game in croke park in front of a partisan crowd.

Try playing in a Munster football championship where cork and Kerry have been seeded for decades.

Yeah it's unfair we have had to face 2 Quarter Finalists while the 'Big 3' have beaten a total of 0, which will only rise to 1 if Donegal beat Cork which I don't think they will.

I just hope we haven't spent too much energy and effort in our Munster games, particularly the older lads.

More like throwing the toys out of the pram. Dublin hold all the aces in terms of advantages over other teams.

And Dublin beating Laois / Meath / westmeath is any better?
Ask the Kerry players they want games not 4 week lay offs.
As for Clare they are full deserving of their place in the last 8.

Sure the dubs have only played Laois (relegated from div 2), Meath (could have been relegated from div 2) & Westmeath (relegated from div 3). Not really great preparation either!

They've had really good minor teams that ran Tipp, cork and Kerry close but couldn't get the big win.

They had us beaten in Thurles last year and we pulled through with a late finish to win by a point. We went on to play Kerry in the Munster and all-Ireland finals so last year's Clare minor team was one of the best in the Country. The Munster minor football championship is of really high standard.
