In his third season with Wexford he is being fouled everytime he competes for a dropping ball. He does get some frees but nothing in comparison with the number of fouls committed against him. Mostly the holding that goes on is blatantly obvious to everyone in the ground but many referees turn a blind eye which is sad. Dont know who the ref is on Sunday next but hopefully the ould eyesight is in good nick. There was quite a bit of hullaballoo recently re diving but it was correctly pointed out by some that cheating was cheating irrespective of how it comes about. Surely players who are trying to play the game fairly should be given proper protection. There was an interesting quote from Liam Rushe yesterday re the difference in how the rules are interpreted by different referees which must be soul destroying for many players. In general its about time the authorities get their act together in this regard.
