Another Leinster for KK or can Galway beat them?
It's easy to forget that Galway lead KK at H/T last September following everything that happened since that. The bookies are predicting a 2-3 point KK win.
KK's preperations for the early rounds the last few years seem to haven't been plain sailing with injuries to big players. This year isn't much different. Galway as ever are coming in as a bit of an unknown.
I'll be honest and say I rarely come on here and tip KK and I'm not going to tip them now either. I think Galway could cause a surprise but it hurts me to say it, KK will recover and win the All Ireland.
What's your thoughts on Sunday?

I think Kilkenny might get over the line on Sunday. Their work rate gets through games another team would lose. Galway are a strong physical team, who can match Kilkenny in that area, but they will need to be on their game as in 2012, if they are to win.
A Galway victory would be good for hurling no disrespect to Kilkenny, but a change would be nice.

Really looking forward to Sunday.
I don't think were as bad as people think.
I think the return of Conor Cooney is a huge plus.
Would rather see JC removed off the frees as I think he's too inconsistent and replaced by Cooney or Jason Flynn(if he starts).
I think this could be the game that ignites the 2016 hurling championship!
Would prefer if this final was on in Tullamore or Portlaoise as it would generate a great atmosphere.
Anyway here's hoping for a Galway victory.
Gaillimh ABU!!

Definitely agree regarding venue. Croke Park should only be for hurling semis and finals. Atmosphere for Leinster hurling finals don't be anywhere what they should be when in Croke Park

I really don't get the point about atmosphere .Why is the atmosphere so important? Surely its the quality of the hurling or football on the field that counts?I have seen some terrific games in an almost empty Croker and seen some terrible games in a full Croker.
Its a fantastic stadium with a fantastic playing surface, great facilities for supporters and all the players want to play there.Thats why we built the place isn't it? To showpiece and host our games not to stage bloody rock concerts.
I have nod idea how many will travel next Sunday but a Leinster final could potentially draw a crowd in excess of 30k, Croke Park is the only stadium in Leinster that can host a crowd like that.

I have Galway connections and have always been a great admirer of Galway teams who I consider to be the fairest and most sporting in the GAA but I can't see anything other than a Kilkenny win next Sunday.
Hope I'm wrong and I really hope we get a great game, this year's championship badly needs one.

Very little buzz about this game in keeping with the fact that the hurling championship has been a bit of a damp squib so far. Could do with a good game.

I'm going against the odds on this one.I tipped Galway for Leinster at start of championship.I expect a massive Galway performance.Players will want to put silverware on board after changing the manager and getting relegated. What better way to prove the many doubters wrong than beating Kilkenny in the Leinster final. You never get rich backing against the cats and i have rarely tipped them to get beaten in recent years but i feel the tribesmen are ready for war. This one will be tasty.

I'd agree but I'm unsure if i'm hoping or expecting it to be the case! Sometimes by judgement is clouded in KK matches!

Agreed. If it's any good, there won't be many looking in the stands for 'entertainment'. I don't recall any 'Mexican waves' at the 2012 Leinster Final, and by jaysus I enjoyed the first half hour of that one, and the rest of it too!

What was the attendance that day in 2012 PB? 22k or so but from my perspective there was nothing wrong with the atmosphere !
I was one of the 9k or so in Croker on as cold and wet an August day as I 've ever experienced when we beat Cork in 85 and the atmosphere in the Lower Hogan that day was unforgettable.

After 2001 I didn't think Galway would ever 'surprise' a Cody team again northern cat , but they did in 2005 and 2012! I hope its a cracker.

I doubt if the Hill is open. I don't rem it being open for previous Leinster hurling finals I have attended. And I have seen other people say on social media too that it is not open.

Doesn't look like the hill is open.Whats that all about?People are now forced to fork out 35e for a ticket which is pricey enough.Im sure the hill would get a few thousand if it opened up.Is this a sneaky money making ploy by the GAA?

I suppose it could be that but the biggest reason is more likely to be saving on costs. If the Hill were opened it would mean another section of the ground that would have to be cleaned afterwards so probably would mean hiring more cleaners and obviously more stewards and turnstile staff and presumably more gardai would also be needed on the day.
