If westmeath were ever to take a major senior scalp this could be it against a brutal limerick team. hurlinspuds (Cork) - Posts: 1494 - 20/06/2016 09:05:52 1869307 Link 0 |

Is that more 6 days turn around?? Taking a guess that both dublin and tyrone do the business next week, leaves both meath and cavan presumming they loose with both a 6 day turn around and against a team thats after winning two games and after building a small bit of momentum. Even if it was that presumming both meath and cavan loose next weekend ( both loosing teams ) played each other then at least both would have 6 day turn around and both teams would be going into match after a loss madbull (Westmeath) - Posts: 195 - 20/06/2016 10:51:33 1869409 Link 0 |

I meant I hadn't left anything out from the draw this morning, not that it was the full draw for the qualifiers!

Meath V Louth loser gets a 6 day turnaround away to Derry. Meath win and avoid that situation. Louth duly go up to Celtic Park......sorry Owenbeg. RoyalBadger (Meath) - Posts: 571 - 20/06/2016 11:00:52 1869426 Link 1 |
From Mayo GAA Twitter: Our next game is scheduled for weekend July 9th. We'll find out who we play when the draw is made on June 27th We'll play the winners of either Offaly/London, Antrim/Limerick, Down/Longford or Wexford/Fermanagh. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11231 - 20/06/2016 11:08:09 1869435 Link 0 |
Wtf is going on? Cork were bet last weekend Mayo this weekend yet their not in the draw yet Dublin and Meath who aren't playing to next Sunday are in the draw wtf whose running this joke shop? And the losers of Dublin v Meath only have a six day turnaround yet Cork Mayo etc have 3 and 4 weeks off til there next game ah here come on this is a disgrace, Jesus. Tell me I'm wrong and there's a reason it's so messed up??? clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 20/06/2016 11:22:58 1869448 Link 4 |
You'd have to expect Mayo to get through any of those draws with a win. Maybe Fermanagh being the toughest challenge.

Dublin won't have to worry about it.But Meath had to beat Louth to avoid playing Derry 6 days later and we are now in the exact same situation!

The Leinster council came up with their schedule. It's out of sync with the qualifiers. It's leaving Leinster teams with less time to recover after a defeat. You'd have to ask someone in the Leinster council why the chose such stupid scheduling. Connacht and Munster organised their championship so that their teams got time to prepare for the qualifiers. The sensible approach. Whammo86 (Antrim) - Posts: 4225 - 20/06/2016 12:40:30 1869538 Link 1 |
