Congrats to Louth a great fightback and really tough on Sligo 4-15 to 4-11 probably tells about this game. Nail biting finish but well done.

amazing game. Goals flying in, points flying over, thats what makes hurling such a special game.
It may not be top level hurling, but it beats the hell out of the Liam Mccarthy cup in entertainment terms.
congrats Louth. Keep up the good work.

Well done Louth but hard luck to Sligo. That's 2 years in a row they have lost a high scoring final. I wonder how those who saw the game felt the standard compared to the Rackard?

It was definitely more entertaining than the Rackard final is so far.

What a win for Louth. They had lost four finals before this since 2005. An Lu Abu!

What a win for Meath!!! Antrim hit a lot of wides but Meath hung in there & stole it at the end. In fairness, 3 great close games.

Just back from Croke Park now, what a day! Just a few things to say, Louth could have been ahead by more, they were unlucky to hit the crossbar. I was very impressed by Louth and Meath, other teams would have dropped the head but they kept on fighting.

Well done to both Louth and Meath today.
Drogheda will be buzzing tonight, both sides of it.

Is there any hurling in Drogheda (on either side)?

No hurling clubs in Drogheda. The Wolfe Tones, who manager Dee McCarthy played for, were there for years but died out due to lack of underage development. St Fechins from Termonfeckin would be the nearest team. They are about 10 minutes outside Drogheda and are current county champions. They had two lads starting yesterday and one lad off the bench who scored a goal. Mattock Rangers from Collon are also not far from Drogheda and had two on the bench yesterday.
