At the end of the championships!

(Oldest Posts First)

No disrespect to any of the teams that have seen game time over the last couple of weeks but it's really over the next week or two that I feel we're actually into championship mode, no doubt as ever HS will be a battleground over the summer months with posters defending their own county and it's players whilst putting the boot into other counties and it's players, we do this and take umbrage at criticism of our own and things get a little bit heated between certain posters (the master and practically everyone else) and between certain counties but this happens because we love our players and take pride in our counties and hate when they are criticised one man's hero is another man's villian ( philly and star are prime examples) but deep down we all know the sacrifices and effort players from all counties put in to try and win something but at the end of the day only a handful of counties in both codes have any chance of reaching the holy grail, but I also know players from the so called weaker counties put in every bit as much effort as players from the more successful counties, I'm lucky enough to be a Dub and enjoying our current success but I know only too well it won't last forever but whilst it does I'll enjoy it to the max! But I think at the end of the championships the most important thing is that none of our fabulous players from all counties in both codes get serious injuries, that apart from the usual knocks and scrapes they are able to get up the next morning and go to work, our summers wouldn't be the same without these fabulous athletes they are the ones that entice us to our national games in our thousands, so to everyone have a great summer!!! and whoever your team are I hope they bring you some happiness an joy over the next few months! Now let the fighting begin!

Good man DubJohn, I agree with all of that.

The odd paragraph here & there might have made it slightly easier reading though!!

Great post DUBJOHN,

Here's hoping that we read/hear no more of well paid pundits labeling amateur players as scumbags etc

It crosses a line that all genuine fans should rally against.
