Would u classify winning a Christy Ring, Nicky Rackard or Lory Meagher as winning an all ireland medal?

Would you class winning a junior or intermediate championship the same as winning a senior title?

I was at the Christy Ring final last year and at the presentation Aogán Ó Fearghaíl sighed and said "another all-ireland for Kerry".
While these are still counted as senior all-irelands, they are not equivalent to the Liam McCarthy, nor are there any pretenses to that effect.

Is winning a Div 7 of the Feile an All-Ireland ? - to the kids it is

There are more counties playing Christy Ring than JFC orInter hurling

The same principle applies to this as applies to somebody's profession. Never belittle it. Always acknowledge genuine effort.

These finals are played in Croke Park and you can be sure that every GAA player cherishes that honour. Every player in each competition is putting in an effort to get to the final and help their team to the next level. Nothing wrong with any of that.

As an aside I cannot imagine many players who have won these competitions saying the won an 'All-Ireland' either.

They're literally not "all-irelands" though if you want to be pedantic.

While they aren't the All Ireland title, they're definitely an All Ireland title. All Ireland is more of a geographic description than a measure of a level. You're the champion of All of Ireland at senior level, or the champion of All of Ireland at junior level, or at club intermediate, or at minor B etc.

I think the question I posed earlier is lost on some here. If you win a junior or intermediate championship in your county you are not the "county champions" but you have won a county championship. It's a similar case with winning the Ring/Rackard/Meagher Cups. You've won a national title.
