Doesn't look like it. Website is gone and real championship is only 2 weeks away. Plus no communication from them.

Lads, GAA doesnt lend itself to fantasy football atall.
Any competition that doesnt have all teams playing on the same week to some extent, wont work

I enjoyed playing it but it could have been improved so much.

The squads were so out of date (players from previous years that were no longer involved, and new players not included), players assigned to positions that were no longer valid (although this could favour you if you were astute enoughto spot a "back" who was acually playing in the forwards etc). The biggest gripe was that the qualifiers were not included and why they allowed you to change your team every so often was not needed. I would have been happy to pick my team at the start and leave it like that. also they never included the first game (connacht team v New York). and they did make mistakes in the scoring . They definitely got the blood sub/real sub issue wrong and clean sheets etc etc. I mean if there are prizes involved you have to get it right.
also the idea of given someone (I can't remember the exact points) 5 points for playing a whole game and 3 points for a part game was stupid. As frequently players are subbed in injury time at the end of a game just to run down the clock and these players would score the same as the guy who came on for them and never touched the ball.

Apologies to all our loyal GAA supporters.
We are working hard to secure a sponsor and the necessary GAA support to bring you a better game for 2017.

Very disappointing that it couldn't be continued this year. I thought it was well run over all after a few initial teething problems. It certainly added to my enjoyment of the Championship as a whole and added interest for some of the lower profile games.
I actually found the transfer arrangements to be quite effective - they didn't require changing every week which would have been overkill (like a past competition run by The Daily Star) but they gave enough opportunities to transfer out players as they exited the Championship.
I think it's a pity that throughout the whole of Ireland there is not one national Fantasy Gaelic competition - the Gaelic Life Ulster competition certainly adds to the banter for the Ulster championship.
Considering the number of Fantasy competitions in other sports it's a pity the GAA couldn't get behind at least one.

It's not that easy administrating a gaelic fantasy football though because of the competition structure. I mean, as far as I'm aware, in the Gaelic Life one they include points for qualifiers. So if Derry lose to Tyrone and get Carlow at home next the Derry forwards could fill their boots!
As we all know, it's a uneven, tired and broken structure. If the competition owners themselves can't work it out what hope do fantasy football organisers have?
