Galway Gaels 1984/85

(Oldest Posts First)

This is a ladies club football question but I might get a better response here.

Galway Gaels played in the All Ireland final in May 1985, beating St Enda's of Cork. Yet, the official ladies football website has no record of the final. They have St Enda's beating The Heath, Laois.

Also, the Connacht site has no winner in 1984, which would have had to have been Galway Gaels. Does anyone know what happened?

I heard they were thrown out. They had this big fella, dressed up as a woman and lined him out at full-forward. He destroyed the oppostion. Unfortunately he was found out when he had to give a Woman of the match acceptance speech. Officials thought it odd that he sounded much like -----. True story.

"Are there any men here today........?"

Yeah, galwayfan, I don't think your story is true. I think you're making it up.
