Does anyone else find Senior IC goalkeepers wearing tracksuit tops over their county jersey cos its a bit.. Cold.... To look very.... I dunno.... Shoddy??

Personally I think it looks desperate, especially in a day and age where there are no end of baselayers offering different levels of warmth. Sure Patrick Kelly was wearing a "puc fada" pullover in goal for Clare today, I'd nearly swear he wore the same one last day out

have to agree I felt same watching yesterday
it looked very poor to see keeper wearing a tracksuit top
when you consider cluxton was not allowed wear the navy dubs jersey a few years back because
of closesness to outfielders, you then see hurling keeper wearing a poc fada tracksuit top not even an actual clare one.
I remember at club level a few guys that togged out for a championship match had not got the same shorts
as the rest of the team and the club got fined for it.

Is this allowed within the rulebook? Surely a goalie has to wear regulation kit like the rest of the team.

I kind of understand it if you're playing club championship in the depths of winter, but otherwise it looks pretty scruffy alright.

twas him inspired the thread alright. Now its not just him, u see it a good bit, especially hurling keepers. But lads, a league semi final on a national platform.....put on the bloody jersey FFS!
The KK Keeper was below the other end in a short sleeve goalies jersey like!!
Looks very "amateurish" for want of a better way of putting it in an amateur game!
