Only one Division 1 team, what has gone wrong for Munster? paddyogall (Mayo) - Posts: 5110 - 03/04/2016 18:12:06 1840981 Link 0 |
In fairness Munster contains a Cork side that hammered ye only two months ago. TheHermit (Kerry) - Posts: 6354 - 03/04/2016 18:24:35 1841004 Link 0 |
Aren't Dublin the only Leinster team in Div 1!! WildPundit (Tipperary) - Posts: 1709 - 03/04/2016 18:33:00 1841014 Link 0 |

Usually there's 2. Before this season how many Connaught sides were there!? JayP (Dublin) - Posts: 1772 - 03/04/2016 18:53:48 1841033 Link 0 |
I agree. I saw cork in ballyshannon and they looked awful. I am not sure what is wrong down there. Division 2 might suit them to get their mojo back. Donegalman (None) - Posts: 3830 - 03/04/2016 19:03:42 1841042 Link 0 |

All of the provinces are uneven and have massive gaps between the best and worst. All of the provinces contain only (at most) really genuine All Ireland contender. Munster is no different to the others. bennybunny (Cork) - Posts: 3917 - 03/04/2016 19:30:40 1841070 Link 0 |
Sad to see the chronic demise and return to the doldrums for limerick football :( Liamwalkinstown (Dublin) - Posts: 8166 - 03/04/2016 20:12:27 1841119 Link 0 |
Cork got 6 points - normally would be enough to stay up - Armagh got 6pts too, but it was the Roscommon big win which messed up their scoring average, like Cavan hammered us, our one big defeat cuchulainn35 (Armagh) - Posts: 1673 - 03/04/2016 20:42:57 1841171 Link 0 |
I know Liam and the worst part is we have enough good footballers in the county to be a solid division 2 team but most of them prefer soccer and rugby. Geroid hegarty and will o donoghue who would make a quality midfield pairing would rather sit on the hurlers bench (although they potentially have bright futures). At least they have set up a quality academy in the last couple of years so hopefully brighter times ahead! blackspot91 (Limerick) - Posts: 1055 - 04/04/2016 10:39:04 1841366 Link 0 |
Ya I'd echo what Liam has said. Very sad to see Limerick go so far backwards. TheHermit (Kerry) - Posts: 6354 - 04/04/2016 11:14:45 1841412 Link 0 |

Kerry's route to the last 8 every year is simply so unfair , particularly when competed to what Ulster sides face . TheRightStuff (Donegal) - Posts: 1688 - 04/04/2016 12:11:12 1841474 Link 0 |
Another point - it's the sum of all it's parts not just who can win Sam. The average of Ulster would hammer Munster . TheRightStuff (Donegal) - Posts: 1688 - 04/04/2016 12:13:38 1841477 Link 0 |
Maybe Kerry should compete in the Ulster championship? surfdude62 (Kerry) - Posts: 46 - 04/04/2016 12:27:31 1841489 Link 0 |
Before this year I'd have considered that the Dubs and my own county had the least dangerous routes to the last 8, but now Kerry look to have the best advantage. Cork's biggest issue for a few years has been midfield and morale seems all over the shop. If they can fix midfield the spirit will return. Doesn't look like it's likely to be this year though. Tipperary are the same as Limerick good footballers but a lot of the lads choose to sit on the hurlers bench. 3 players who would have made a difference have only seen 2 minutes of game time this year and that was yesterday when Stephen O'Brien came on. His not even close to the starting 15 and should have been culled with Seamus Kennedy last week. WildPundit (Tipperary) - Posts: 1709 - 04/04/2016 12:41:42 1841506 Link 0 |
