Donal O'Grady retires

(Oldest Posts First)

There is already a thread on the Limerick forum - felt this guy deserved a thank you on the big forum.

Congratulations dodge on a fine inter county career - great servant and captain of Limerick - hope you have good few more years at club level -- and I am sure we will see you in a coaching capacity over the next few years at club level and beyond

Big player shame that the management couldn't convince him to stay on,Maybe with a reduced training load or something

Really a class act. His long range point taking was a joy to watch. Stood up best when Limerick backs were against the wall. It's a pity that a year of DOG's prime hurling years was squandered by Justin Mc and the inability of the Limerick county board to run things. He is one of the many that deserved a celtic cross and never got one.

You gave your heart for Limerick hurling Donal. I'm sorry to hear you're leaving this year I thought you still had the right stuff
if only for a portion of a game. you still have it. I would of loved to have seen you again this year. You're still only a whippersnapper of a young fellow at 35. Still yet to hit your prime mate. All the best in retirement.
