Could the Gaa not have had 2 double headers for its club Semis rather than 4 different venues that probably won't attract 1000 per venue. If the Sarsfields and Castlebar matches were played as a double header 1pm and 2-30pm in either Cavan or Navan . The other 2 semis could be played in Portlaoise thus giving punters a bit of value for money. Poor planning by the fixtures committee Awwwwnow (Cavan) - Posts: 1050 - 13/01/2016 12:35:33 1816300 Link 0 |
There's complaints about the venue choices for these games every single year no matter the decision. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13704 - 13/01/2016 12:46:15 1816306 Link 0 |

Somehow I doubt the pitches are fit to accommodate two matches in-a-row at this time of the year. keeper7 (Longford) - Posts: 4088 - 16/01/2016 17:36:03 1817047 Link 0 |
Exactly MesAmis, if the GAA did what we wanted them to do wed find another reason to complain. joncarter (Galway) - Posts: 2692 - 16/01/2016 18:36:44 1817057 Link 0 |
venues are ok by me but I think a 6.15 throw in is a bit late at this time of year to be taking people from cross and castlebar on a journey on country roads. I know they want to show all the matches live on TG4 but could they not have just deferred coverage of one of the games. Anyway best of luck to all 4 teams. I would imagine some of the Cross ones would be used to journeys late at night on dark country read. Ulsterman (Antrim) - Posts: 9697 - 17/01/2016 17:53:15 1817178 Link 0 |
