With a total expenditure of close 4.5 million and still being close to a 1 million in profit in 2015

This is not a pee take or anything like it

It's impressive and deserves to be mentioned in a positive light

They also have a 5-6 million Centre of Excellence on the way

It has to be said... Kerry will be going nowhere and are being brilliantly run

Yes there's plenty of money in America and from Kerry Group to keep the Green and Gold chugging along!

But seriously, its a testament to the hard work put in by the County Board and so many ex players and supporters at all levels, both at home and abroad to help raise the funds for the new Centre of Excellence.

When you consider how much money the Central Council is throwing away at that white elephant of a stadium down in Cork, its great that the Kerry Board can, off their own hard graft, meet most of the expenses of this project.

Sadly, money seems to be speaking more and more as regards inter-county success. But as long as the finances stay this healthy, Kerry should be well equipped to meet those demands.

Merry Christmas, Jimbo by the way!

Yeah you can't argue with that thehermit

You've a great setup which is quite obviously being superbly run by the right people

Interesting to mention vanity projects

The very thing that had doomed quite a few CB's around the country

Fair play hermit.. same to you.. I appreciate that!

They are a credit. Its a county with an average population who are all putting their shoulder to the wheel. Fair play to them. It just shows what is possible. I wonder how much that is per capita?

Well that's an interesting point

Spending that sort of money on less players / teams in both codes

It just goes to show what can be done when properly managed

Shouldn't they share it with Leitrim or Longford ?????????????
Honestly echo Jimvbo comments excellent work by county board , and along with work done at underage level Kerry going nowhere and others will need to match their approach .

Massive achievement. Money does buy success though, it is not the game it used to be and you have no business running out onto croke park expecting to win in august or september if you are training or budgeting the way you were 20 years ago..or even 10 years ago most likely. It is professional in all but name now, and if you want to win then you have got to have backers.

Well done Kerry. A fund raiser back in January in the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan was one such venture that helped in fund raising along with trips to Boston, Chicago that's they way to do things. I know my own county has got funding stateside but as one ex pat in New York said the Mayo board were inept during our last trip and could have raised so much more then they actually did with the massive Mayo diaspora over there.

In fact many counties especially rural western counties need to think outside the box when it comes to funding and look over the Atlantic.

The only way that would happen if kerry got something in return, such as a softening up of the dubs in mid july for later in the year.

If we could turn them profits into finding a full back and a few other defenders for next year then that would be great.

Hermit no need to be greedy -)..im sure them one and two cent coins can be distributed to those that need them..might make a bit more space in the piggy bank.
