A simple question. My Club was involved in a game at the weekend. The referee made some crazy decisions. The referee has a son on a team that is in the semi final of the same competition. Is a referee allowed ref a match that his son in involved in the same competition?

A simple question. My Club was involved in a game at the weekend. The referee made some crazy decisions. The referee has a son on a team that is in the semi final of the same competition. Is a referee allowed ref a match that his son in involved in the same competition? Referee would be allowed referee a game even if a son/family member is involved in same competition but at semi final stage it probably would have been better if they were not refereeing the semi to stop calls for bias etc.

Shouldn't be allowed IMO.
Nor should you have linesmen or umpires allowed if they have connection to players involved but thst's never going to work in the GAA.
Especially in more rural clubs.
