With many of the 18 proposals to restructure the AI either not linking the B section back to Sam, or the B winners needing to wait a year to join Sam - how about doing the following to give all a cuttent chance ? -
1) Create an Upper 16 anc Lower by any method you like ( I suggest the JMcG 4+1+11).
2) Both 16s play 2 KO rds - 4 unbeaten in Lower group join all but the twice beaten in the Upper group in the AI Last 16.
