Wow, I cant believe the chairman informed the delegation of the run of events. Who does he think he is? The chairman or something?

Am in turmoil.......no Hugh we are not Cork. We have moved on so don't expect to see march's through Castlebar unless it to Enda's office. New manager will be in place within 3 weeks.

Players come across as having no leaders. Same as on the pitch. When the going gets tough blame someone else.
They couldn't even have the decency to tell the managers what they were unhappy about.

They voiced their unhappiness during the league. They told them they had ambitions to win an All Ireland and they didn't think that Connelly and Holmes management would help them achieve that.

I was happy that Connelly and Holmes got the job. Though I didn't think an All Ireland was likely in 2015 I thought they'd change some team personnel and tactics. They were promised the job. McStay and McHale didn't even get the dignity of the full interview process.

I agree we need more leaders but hope Andy Moran retires. A great player but he's past his best and preventing some new player to take his chance.

Maybe there are some of the players blaming management for the semi final loss, I don't know. It was down to the players on the day, not management, that they lost.

For me only Higgins,Vaughan, Boyle, Keegan, Cillian O'Connor and Seamus O'Sé have shown they can do it on the big day.Parsons and Diarmuid O'Connor seen like they'll be able to do it on the big day. McLoughlin too maybe but he should be passing more and shooting less. New management has to decide who they can get confident enough to have big game temperament and who to let go. Hoping they could find a few gems in junior/intermediate clubs or colleges. Might find some that stopped playing ball to concentrate on studies in their teens and now have time to make a commitment. Try everything, marquee forwards don't live in marquees!

According to the report,
Keith and Cillain met H and Connolly told them a vote of no confidence had taken place and 27 7 in favour.
Joint managers asked what was the reason and the players wouldn't give one.
Players were asked by chairman on a different date why they didn't bring up their grievances earlier . They didn't engage in the discussion , we're his words.
Sounds like everyone hiding behind each other.
All Ireland final loss in 2012, 2013, a replayed semifinal loss to the Winners of the AllIreland in 2014, 2015.with same squad,
If new Manager doesn't win Sam, will it be him or the players that will have to take the responsibilityear next year.

GreenandRed, why are you even responding to this obvious wind up attempt? There have been about 10 threads on this. There isn't really much more to say until a manager is appointed at least.

No wind up, i just think players come out of this very sheepishly, hiding behind each other. When given a platform to speak they headed for the exit. That's all I have to say on the matter.
Best of luck to the new guy , he will need it.
