Hurling on Showtime

(Oldest Posts First)

Anyone see Showtime's magazine 60's minutes show that featured hurling? The promo is listed in the article below:

I didn't see it myself, and I'm not sure if there's any way for people in Ireland to access that programming, but it would be interesting to hear what people thought of it if they did. Its good to see hurling featured on yet another mainstream show in the US. The promo looked really good, although it might represent wish fulfillment on behalf of hurling people, rather that the reality of the status of the game in Ireland (i.e. dwindling).

Anyone see it?

Hurling is dwindling?? News to me. I thought we had the most numbers we've ever had playing the sport. Also the standard is only getting higher and higher. Apart from KK's boring dominance and cork's continued malaise, intercounty hurling (especially at underage) is unpredictable and really entertaining.
