Today Briege & Rena each won their 16th Senior All Ireland Senior Medal. Phenomomal achievement. Congratulations to ye girls, Cork is proud of ye. Congrats also to the Cork team for their second 5 in a row and 10 out of the last eleven All Irelnand Ladies Football Titles.

Two terrific sportswomen and an amazing achievement. Of course we will probably not see their like again, the days of duel players are almost over. I think Corkery said she was out 6/7 nights a week - some sacrifice. But a great achievement for these two and well done to Cork on another All Ireland.

You'd know by the stare that Briege Corkery was a fierce competitor! Have admired for years. Herself and Buckley are great ambassadors for Irish sport. Great to see it was the best attended women's sporting event in Europe this year as well. Hopefully the crowds grow for it. Could probably do with somebody else winning it!
