The most reliable way to get a free in GAA

(Oldest Posts First)

Realised this long before yesterday but the most reliable way to get a free in GAA is to be on a team that's losing. Not that Kildare have been a particular victim but the foul given to draw the game to Conor McManus vs Ollie lyons last year was a prime example.

Wear a Mayo jersey, regardless of the opposition, and bring the ball into contact (sometimes the latter is not strictly necessary).

Do this until SAM has been seen in places like Westport, Ballina and Ballyhaunis etc for the first time in decades.

Once achieved identify the next bleeding heart county with a God-given sense of entitlement / dubious curse to overcome.
