Are Kildare going to be lambs sent to the slaughter today?

the first match is over already and it not even half time. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if the second match was over even sooner. I had little interest in todays fixtures and judging by the amount of empty seats in an overused Croke Park im not alone with those thoughts. No atmosphere, no contest, no point.

The first match was not over at HT far from it and how would you want Antrim to win? Surely as a fan you want them to knock the socks of every team all the time? And that said even though the second game was a no contest Dublin where simply wonderful to watch.

Agree arock with regards keeping the foot down to the end. If my team were winning by ten at half time I'd be wanting that to be 20 at full time. Shouldn't ever let complacency set in against any team you are way ahead of as you do it in that game you are more likely to allow it to set in the next.

i guess i spoke too soon for the first match, well done to Westmeath, two second half miracles in just over a week is not bad for the game. But you have to admit it would have been a better spectacle in Mullingar with a full house and proper atmosphere instead of being supporting act to a slaughter we all saw coming in a half empty stadium. Croke Park should be a venue for the Leinster final and nothing before it. The Dubs should be on the road more as well and if they are drawn at home before the Leinster final it should be at Parnell or somewhere they can actually fill. These double headers don't work especially when most of the Dubs only turn up for the second game.

arock if Antrim could play as well as Dublin I'd be delighted and would find it all very entertaining just like you. But as a neutral watching one team take shooting practice against a team who haven't a notion how to stay in the game its not really worth watching.

Personally I enjoyed the Donegal match last night a lot more because it was a contest right to the end. A lot less scores but players actually had to work for those scores and both defences weren't running about clueless they actually had a plan and the match was there for the taking for both teams.
