Hi, just a quick question. I haven't played GAA with my local club for a few years now because, I've been in a difference county working and its just too difficult to give it my all. If I were to now play for a different club would I need any transfer forms, etc or would I just be able to join them as a member. As I said its been about 4-5 years since I last played with my original club. Edmundomee (Kerry) - Posts: 6 - 24/06/2015 11:36:09 1742001 Link 0 |
If you played adult football with your old club, you will need a transfer no matter how long it is since you played. If it's inter-county that is pretty much a formality. If it's to another club in your home county you'll have to get agreement from your old club. Greenfield (Meath) - Posts: 522 - 24/06/2015 13:42:03 1742090 Link 0 |
Once you haven't played for 2 years i don't think your current club can object but you still need a transfer chriscart580 (Meath) - Posts: 376 - 24/06/2015 14:02:28 1742101 Link 0 |

Yeah I moved clubs a few years ago after being idle for a few. I still had to get documents signed but no problems. The worst part is that it takes a few weeks to get rubber stamped so you cant play until all is done. I missed the first 2 games that year which didn't help with me breaking into the first team. dstuction (Donegal) - Posts: 1209 - 24/06/2015 15:34:29 1742169 Link 0 |
