GAA Hierarchy

(Oldest Posts First)

"If they want to bring in some padding or something, let them on. I don't blame [referee] Colm Lyons and I don't blame the referees. It's the hierarchy that in, he added.

Media , and GPA take note and take action.. An astute comment from an astute player- Shane Dowling- who a resides in the thick of it.
When will we begin corrective process and upgrade the quality of people in key positions?

Another aptly put observation by Brian Boru on Clare Forum re bureaucratic mediocrity visited on players and mangers who bust their gut and give their time. Need 100,000 other voices to bring attention to this debacle ..in the mold of a as Diarmuid O Flynn, as in
"GAA Players Say NO"

Brian Boru's post

>>>>Well we start new championship season.and what is the big story. The OFFICIATING!!!!tHE T.V. pundits, the radio pundits. the newspaper scribes and rabid fans, all are discussing the officiating. When one team is penalized far more than the other, and linesman see a ball go out over the line and makes he wrong call as to who is responsible, and all in attendance and the t.v audience knows he has made an incorrect call, then something drastic must be done by the officials. It is just not fair to a team that has trained so hard, and are trying to do their best to have to put up with that nonsense. The Clare team, their supporters and Davy Fitz all had a right to be disgusted. As a starting point for the officials I would suggest they make two rules,ONE, in championship games the referee chosen be from another province, and TWO, every county have a right to one veto on the person chosen to officiate. We would all be pleasantly surprised what an immediat effect for he beter hat would have!!!!But is not going to happen , is it? <<<

1728540 Both Counties got treated last week by the GAA very unfairly how both senior games were not a double header was mindblowing... A week later and Dublin get red carpet treatment... goes to show ya what the GAA think of the supporters for the smaller Counties.. by the way how much was the ticket for Sat and Sun...

Another good point, this time re ineptitude of The GAA Powers That Be... this time from
Wild Pundit under main page forum entitled: Has hurling gone soft" .

Pl don't misconstrue all of my posts as attention seeking from me. All of my posts on this site are quotes from others I do to know and all pointing to blatant transgressions or blind denial by the GAA. The victims are the players who take the field each week and endure complete injustice.

I am hoping someone of the calibre of a Liam Sheedy or Diarmuid O'Flynn (a formidable negotiator)will will pickup the ball and run with or lead us to find someone who can. I am not sold on this just announced "director of hurling" whoever he is anymore than I would support a seller of rotten apples!

Help!

But I digress ..here is wild Pundit fro Tiperary's remark...
T"e whole disciplinary process system within the GAA is broken from end to end. By which I mean from the players on the field of play to the referees to the guys siting in the CCCC , DRA etc.

Tis as mad as a box of frogs. "
