I will be arriving in Boston the end of June. I understand the club championship has already got underway over there but I would like to play some football while I will be in the city for two months. faithful17. (Offaly) - Posts: 1 - 19/05/2015 17:34:56 1725728 Link 0 |

Hi, the Championship is not starting until May 31rst, however at this stage I reckon that most clubs have organized there sanctions and the only players who will be coming later in the summer will be players who have been knocked out of inter- county championship at home and come on the intercounty/J1 sanction. Your best bet would be to go for one of the larger clubs who have a junior team and are allowed more sanctions. Cork have Junior A, and Junior B. They train in Sommerville. Wolfetones are Senior, Junior A and Junior B. The train in Dorchester. Conemara Gaels and Aidan MacAnanespies are two clubs that have an Offaly contingent here. I am sure they would like to take you on Board. You will find all club secretary details at http://www.bostongaa.com/ They should be responsive. best of luck with it. I'm no expert faithful and having trouble getting anything to actually show up in these threads but I'm not far from where you're at, and far from good, but love the sport and be happy to help you get in some time on a pitch. Not too proud to shack balls and help out someone, I know the feeling of not having much in the way of company around here. Especially since everyone who expresses an interest while I'm out alone asks if I'M PLAYING CRICKET! B_Town2T_Town (USA) - Posts: 9 - 22/05/2015 16:37:01 1727178 Link 0 |
